@WizardTux Running with several #unifi #10G as well as several #netgear ones also
Another interesting detail to take into account when thinking about upgrading your network to 10G is disk speed. When the 7200RPM HDDs in your NAS can read/write at 80-270MB/s, where are you going to get the data to transfer at 1250MB/s? The NAS's own performance test says my HDDs can do 80MB/s, but the NVMe SSD used for I/O caching can do 830 MB/s, which would be ~6.64Gbps. 10G remains elusive... #10G #ethernet #network
@gudenau Well not long and tbh its still not in production on my end. This is the last bit of #10G gear along with the new USW-Flex-XG 10G switch, so atm I am still testing it with my ISP to get 10G WAN speeds.
Atm we are at about 2.5G but waiting on the corrections from their end. Once that is done I will switch to this gear.
In terms of quality and stability 0 issues atm and wifi over U6-Pro is great as well. Can't complain so far.
After a month of actual use I can say that #apple #macstudio was the right choice ;). #10G and all the power I could possibly need.
Pairs so nicely with #StudioDisplay
