When email providers write, or as they seem to justify themselves in this regard, «we are required by law to...» have they ever thought of lifting their butts from the country from which they provide a strictly confidential service?

There are many islands and archipelagos that do not impose dictatorial laws or special tax duties. What do I do with your encryption if you report, store and ask for data connected to me?

When I make a criticism to my email provider about the lack of support for standard protocols (imap, pop, smtp, etc.) it answers me religiously that it is all written in the terms of service, that I was careless in not having noticed it, and I shouldn’t treat it like a bad guy.
But all this does not erase the problems I have listed. I have never stated, explicitly, you are disgusting or work badly. This is at most its facts' inference, not my conclusions.
