The idea that corporations would use drugs to enslave people, and that they would use the emergence of AI as an excuse to bring back indentured servitude agrees very much with the lessons of the #1619Project .
It's also a real page-turner with compelling characters and action.

When I read the #1619Project earlier this year, I learned many things that I had not known before. Dante Stewart's introduction to me of the concept of "White Ingratitude" ties together many things in "The 1619 Project" that I hadn't realized.
"The 1619 Project" should be required reading in US #history classes in high school.
