After her highest grossing film, Grand Hotel (1932), Greta Garbo only made eight more movies. She concluded her career with Two-Faced Woman (1941) a convoluted tale about fictitious twin sisters. The film was a flop.
Two-Faced Woman was an attempt to modernise and Americanise Garbo’s image. At the time, her fan base was shrinking in America, so she decided to pull the plug.

So as you may have noticed, I'm a sucker for a good retro cutaway diagram. This is one of my favourites, by British "Cutaway King" G. H. Davis.
It triggers my home nesting instinct, but it was probably pretty terrible to be on board one, what with the swell in the Channel (and the whole "crashing in an airplane" thing).

Hedy Lamarr was well cast in Dishonoured Lady (1947) as a hedonist who seeks help from a psychiatrist, then finds herself accused of murder. Hedy was married to one of her co-stars, John Loder, at the time of filming, but they divorced later in the year.
