I'm sorry to be missing #APPAM2022 #2022APPAM. It is my first and favorite conference because it (and #JPAM) are distinctive places that feature high-quality social-science research that can also center public-policy relevance as a motivation—without apology.

Upjohn Institute economist Gabrielle Pepin presents research at #2022APPAM estimating that a 10% increase in Child and Dependent Care Credit benefits increases annual paid child care participation in that same tax year by 4-5 percent among households with children under 13.
