NEW ISSUE: The February 2023 issue of the Journal of Southern History is now available via Project Muse β featuring the #2022SHA presidential address by Glenda Elizabeth Gilmore, and articles by Michael Menor Salgarolo, Beau Cleland, and William Robert Billups
Thanks to all of you who shared how much you or your students enjoyed/learned from No Common Ground during #2022SHA. It was really nice to hear from you & it gave me a boost I didn't even know I needed. I look forward to joining you all again for #2023SHA here in Charlotte, NC.
All that walking during #2022SHA was more than the new knee was used to, but I'm glad I went. Note to self: bring tennis shoes next time. I met new people, saw longtime friends & had important conversations about what post-academic life might look like.
I also got jazzed again about my book project on the Rhythm Club fire. Inspiring creative output & learning from each other is one of the great things about our professional conferences and I don't want us to lose that.
So #grateful for my amazing #CivilWar #Documentary #educational team, yβall made #2022SHA a hit! Thank you Ginny & Ethan!!! #history #historian #education #film #conference #conferences #baltimore #maryland #south #southern #teamwork
