With the unmitigated shit show we've just witnessed from SCOTUS, the only way we're going to see change is to get enough Democratic Senators elected to nuke the filibuster.

We also need to get any milquetoast senators in line (Durbin, Duckworth)—we're in the fight of our lives and we need them to fight like it too.

It's not enough to hope that Alita and Thomas keel over (although it does give one a warm feeling).

Even before the #midterms the national US press was in the #2024elections prediction frame (several stories today). I’ve had this discussion with others: IMO, major outlets and #journalists see their main role as accurately predicting who’ll win and analyzing, in advance, why. (focused on Dems vs. GOP) I see #journalism’s job differently: finding out and telling people what’s happening so they can act on the information or gain from it. Would love to hear others.
