After only one day, and despite my poor to mediocre platforming skills, I managed to beat my first boss in #20XX. It was all for naught, though, since I quickly died in the next stage, and this is the kind of game where you have to complete it in a single runthrough.

Defeat comes early and often in this game, but hopefully between regaining some platforming skills and being able to improve my character between runs, I'll start getting further into the game on a regular basis.

Fired up #20XX for the first time this evening, and am I ever rusty at old-school platformers. This may not actually be a Mega Man game, but the mechanics are virtually identical. I've got some rust to knock off if I plan to make any progress in this game.

One nice thing though is that since it's a roguelike with permadeath (terms which still sound like another language to me), I have the chance to make my character better with each runthrough as I collect powerups and earn permanent upgrades after each attempt. In theory, the game will get easier the longer I keep at it.

The currently running PSN Store sales just tagged me for a couple of games, and there may be more in store for me in the next week or two as well...

Getting the Champion Edition bundle of #StreetFighterV which includes nearly everything ever released for the game. Though Tekken has become my favorite franchise overall, my PS4 arcade fighter collection seems incomplete without Street Fighter in it. I may yet add the 30th anniversary collection to my library too before this sale is over. SFII is where it all began for me all those years ago.

I also got #20XX, which is a "roguelike" homage to the Mega Man X series with procedurally generated levels. Reviews looked pretty good, so I'll give it a try. Haven't played any Mega Man in quite a while either...

Hey there! I'm doing my introduction again because I forgot hashtags ^^'

I'm Théotime, I'm a French computer science student from Auvergne.

I mostly play roguelikes, metroidvanias (Hollow Knight my beloved) and monster tamers (i.e. "Pokémon-likes", such as Nexomon, Coromon, Monster Sanctuary,...). These days, I play a lot of Breath of the Wild, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Dead Cells, and 30XX.

I watch pretty diverse series, my favourite shows at the moment are Doctor Who, The Owl House, Inside Job, The Good Place, Rick and Morty,... Feel free to recommend me shows, I don't really have anything to watch these days.
