Windows 10 22H2 è diventato pubblico nell’ottobre 2022 ed è stato rilasciato al pubblico il 18 novembre 2022. Tutte le edizioni di Windows 10 22H2 (Home, Pro, Enterprise, Education, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations e #IoT Enterprise) termineranno il supporto ad ottobre 2025.

Looks like I got a lot of cool new stuff play with #Windows11 this week. #Outlook code name Monarch, I noticed I can do recordings using snipping tool and my Notepad has tabs too. The interesting part is, I am not even on #22H2.

For some reason, #Microsoft won't give my #Windows11 laptop #22H2 I don't want to force the upgrade, even though I know I could. Seriously, whats the blocker: #Intel 10th gen, 32 GBs of RAM and it 'already' runs Windows 11. Even my M1 #MacBook Pro is running the latest version of Windows 11 - how ironic!

One big improvement in #Windows11 #22H2 is do not disturb. There's a two-click icon to put yourself into DnD, and quick settings to enable Focus Mode for a predefined period of time. I liked the old way in #Windows10 of toggling Focus Mode on its own, but this is reasonably close and a bit more granular.

Hilarious. I was talking on Teams to a colleague about the fact that my big development desktop - probably classified by Microsoft as a gaming machine - still didn't get #Windows11 #22H2, I go to the Update screen to show him... and of course, there it is :D

I did not know how much #windows sucks until today.
I was thinking about trying out the #22h2 release of #windows11 and that was more than a mistake. Let me tell you the journey of a Linux user trying to install Windows...

Step 1: Downloading the ISO - so far so easy
Step 2: dd if=iso of/usb-stick - yey works
Step 3: Boot the Windows USB stick - Get a bluescreen because of driver issues
Step 4: Search for it
Step 5: Realizing that Windows has issues with Linux file systems

Windows 11 22H2 KB5012170 metadata was revised last Thursday to require
two new Prerequisites:
- SSU 22621.378 (at least)
- Windows 365 Cloud PC block detectoid

however, the latter detectoid is deployed and applicale only for Windows 11 21H2

therefore, Windows 11 22H2 will (mistakenly) no longer get KB5012170 via WU
