How law does gently caress and tease!
As tends to the rich by soft justice,
When judges indulgences accord
To any who can a right broker afford;
But, courts do due authority maintain
And Keep law's solemn, severe reign
By exacting firm proper justice upon
The impecunious, unrepresented felon.
