While I'm not familiar with your particular references, I think you're spot on about people losing sight of the real value in the human connection that clowns can bring to their audiences.

I've commented at excruciating length in the past about the whole "scary clown" meme, and how tired I am of dealing with it. If you're curious, check the early episodes of our podcast, #2ClownsInACloset for details.

I just stumbled out of the "recording closet" and I'm pretty sure we just finished a *fantastic* new episode of the podcast.
