Anarchy is fun for those who do violence best: IRL we would call them warlords. Part of the fun of joining #2b2t for me was the battle to exit the anarchic spawn area (around 0,0) safely. I don't expect that to change: a noob can expect that. Once you escape spawn, you can set up a base far away, build resources, and return to spawn armed to the teeth. These changes IMHO protect those who don't want all anarchy all the time. Even Conan the Barbarian had a day off at home.

#2b2t 1/2: the update debate on Reddit has exploded because of changes and restrictions that have many questioning whether it is an "anarchy" server now. "Anarchy" on #2b2t included making weapons with impossible strengths ("32k"), duplicating block en masse using machines that lagged or crashed the server, or coordinate exploits that meant posting a shot of a base meant it could be found and griefed. The server now tried to prevent such exploits.

Meanwhile, in "hell freezes over" news, the notorious #Minecraft server #2b2t is getting its long-delayed update to v1.19. It's going to be nuts if it actually works.

Case in point: If one doesn't leave their toxicity in the containment tgat is #2b2t, they don't have a right to complain when #Mojang pulls the plug on them if they go full #StreamSniping on regular #Vanilla players...

My first visit to the legendary #2b2t #minecraft server was a ton of fun.
- Escaped spawn in 3 attempts (got lucky on the third spawn).
- Set out along the first highway I came across, avoiding all Nether portals along the way. Eventually, repairing as I went.
- Survived on melons, planted by kind souls that came before me, so I planted more in kind.
- Mostly walked past this -20k marker to conserve energy, but also enjoyed traveling through the #apocalyptic landscape.
- Met no other players.

I decided to try playing on #2b2t despite knowing the server can be a toxic mess infested of nazis. I've always considered myself rather average if not worst at minecraft survival so I wanted to see how long I could survive, or how far could I take the challenge.

This is the third time I cast a fishing rod, thing just got way easier I guess.
