Then sorted one of the piles of my Father's estate information. Found a cheque buried away in an envelope amongst paper work which I didn't see at the time. Enough for a couple of fancy meals out, but can't cash now 🤷‍♀️

There are some lovely things in the pile, so I am enjoying going through them. Their original marriage certificate 👰 🤵 💒 , for example, completed by hand, listing the names of their fathers, but not their mothers. And the Best Men as witnesses but not bridesmaids. #SignOfTheTimes.

@jerry While I cherish my age, I don't wanna be reminded that am too old to can't get used to a new word :) I will stick with toot as that's the #fediverse way (at least on most of mastodon instances) and maintains harmony.

And, for the verb vs. noun argument - its a matter of time when toot becomes a verb, just like “tweet”, or “google” - so enough toots will make toot an action ;) #2c
