#2DPrinting Did a bit of surgery on our printer today. We can now print things at home again, for the first time in about 5 years.
This was an hp3030 that I picked up from beside the lifts at university many years ago, set aside for disposal. It worked well for a long time, but started putting staple-like bumps on the paper that gradually got worse. A bit of the plastic cover from the fuser roller had broken off and wrapped around the fuser assembly, and the roller started to disintegrate.
