Midway through switching from Authy to 2FAS. Turns out Authy collects a bit of analytical data and associates with your user name and phone number.

2FAS is open source and free. Willing to give it a try. Worst part is having to remove 2FA from each account and then re-add it. And then copy the new set of backup / recovery codes.

Not to put any attention on the bird site but Google Authenticator is trending

Just wanna say, I gave a try, and it is so much better than Google Authenticator IMO. (Both are smartphone apps BTW.)

Refreshingly easier to use; actually has some form of a backup; and you can choose to unlock with PIN and biometrics.

Lots of users misinterpreting the announcement about and paid accounts.

IS STILL FREE. YOU CAN STILL BE SECURE. You just have to use a app like (2fas.com) or a that does it like @bitwarden.

You can also use a physical key like a @yubico or a for even better .

Is anyone using 2FAS on iOS? How is it?

I don't use Apple devices but I'd like to recommend an authenticator to some friends who haven't yet left the birdsite... I use Aegis on Android and would be looking to recommend something for iOS that is similarly free, non-dependent on a cloud login and able to backup to a file location on the device.
