I have only a little bit more to say about what I plan to do today, but alas, 500char limit, which is really irritating.
Anyway...
So since my #APRS iGate is doing a LOT for this area of the #HamRadio community, & I'd like to do more, I'm going to take the Tune-A-Tenna down for now, and instead use that telescoping carbon fiber mast to get the #2meter antenna up to perhaps 65ft AGL. That will be huge, if it doesn't crash.
It's been many many years that I haven't really delved into my HAM Radio hobby, for a number of reasons really. When I first got my license about 23 years ago or so, I got involved in some groups, but honestly I never felt welcome and it sort of soured my experience. I've listened in over the years, but as the Internet grew, interest in HAM radio, especially local stuff, waned. Recently I started dipping my big toe back into it so to speak. #hamradio #amateurradio #2meter #repeater #SWL #FT8
