Looking at the Scottish #Winter #Snow photos on social media today as I sip an iced coffee in the shade makes me very glad I listened to the inner voice last Spring, sold my house, got rid of my stuff, and moved to Thailand. Periodically conversation turns to whether I could still win a fight with my children. Current view is that #1son and #3son would batter me. #2son would be a close thing given we are even in height and weight.

Wednesday morning in Thailand. Second morning of helping out with the #grandchildren as #2Son was drafted in to a residential school trip at v short notice. It is an enormous delight to spend time with them and to feel useful, too. Saddened, as always, by the thought that my own mum didn't live long enough to enjoy this glorious reward for the years of sleepless nights and thankless days otherwise known as 'motherhood'.
