#language - like #ireland & #wales, #scotland has an officially recognised #celtic language; #england suppresses theirs and only one survives as an oddity - nobody communicates daily in Kernewek even in Cornwall
#inward migration - #scotland suffered depopulation ever since #highlandClearances - you find #scots everywhere you find #irish emigres. Modern #scotland welcomes newcomers as an asset where #england resents those from elsewhere. Hence #brexit was rejected

#mountains. #scotland has them = #england disguises their highest hill by calling it Scafell Pike rather than using an identifiable term like "Ben" (or, I don't know, mountain?) in the name

I'd bet more people in England know the names Ben Nevis and Mount Snowden than Scafell Pike - we cannot stand coming last in a race of global mediocrities (when compared to the Andies or Tibet).

Here are two ways #Scotland & #England are different countries

#Sport - Scotland never accepted it is part of #UK football or Rugby. Both entirely separated by the border
NOTE: Olympics insist on UN definition of country identities - were that not so Scotland would field their own team
#Religion - Scots don't allow the #churchOfEngland in - there is a tiny Anglican church called the Epicopal church on the board outside but commonly referred to as the "English church"
