Going to try to stay on Gnome at least until my morning check in for the #2YearLinuxChallenge on Discord.
Not going to guarantee that I make it that long. How anyone uses this, I will never know.
#2YearLinuxChallenge Check In. Passed the 2 month mark. Still going very strong. Really loving #opensuse

As I try to perfect my desktop (for me), I am gonna dive into #Budgie for awhile.
Oh and here is my check-in for the #2YearLinuxChallenge
I do this in jest, but let's see if my #sbc (@PINE64 #rockpro64) will make it through the #2YearLinuxchallenge
I think I found my happy place with #Debian #Trixie and #XFCE
#sbc #rockpro64 #2yearlinuxchallenge #debian #trixie #xfce
#2yearlinuxchallenge Sooo, I'm somewhat around 23 or 24 (25?) year challenge by now with @debian, i think.
But i did have a colleague at one point who would have had trouble with a 2 day challenge.... He was on a new distribution basically daily, many of which i never heard of before or after again....
Just updated @opensuse. It was the biggest update since I started the #2YearLinuxChallenge. I'd also just made some changes to dbus, and those are always butt clenching.
But, rebooted just fine.
Installed Plasma on #Opensuse this morning for shits and giggles. I'm guessing that by the end of the #2YearLinuxChallenge I will have all the DEs and all the WMs on my system.

@thelinuxcast @opensuse Actually, I have already been using Zorin OS for 4 years now -- on my work laptop anyway. I still have about 7 other laptops that I use to test and review other distros. But the second most important laptop I have is my personal laptop, which I just installed Debian Bookworm on. And I have absolutely no intention of switching away from that at all.
so I'll gladly join this #2YearLinuxChallenge from my personal laptop!
Okay, so I've had a lot of people ask what the #2YearLinuxChallenge is. So I will make this post and pin it to my profile.
Basically, I (and any who join me) are vowing to use the same install of one distro for a single year. When something goes wrong, we fix it. No distrohopping, nothing like that. VM use and containers are allowed. This is to be done on your most used PC. Other PCs are at your discretion.
I chose @opensuse Tumbleweed as my distro.
Day 8 Check in #2YearLinuxChallenge #opensuse #linux

@thelinuxcast alrighy! I will join you in the challenge! #Debian for the win! #2YearLinuxChallenge
