Pitting 'sustainably used' lands against 'protected areas' seems like a sneaky trick! Sustainably used lands stand alone, while protected areas only exist in the context of human use of other lands.

Say you have a plate of cookies. One party says they'll just nibble on a couple. The other party says they'll save a couple--but only if they're allowed to eat all of the rest of the cookies.
