Gave up on trying to find a word for X in #36daysoftype and just ran with some rainbow contours.

Started with perlin noise clouds, blurred to create smoother transitions, then auto-traced to vectors using 27 layers of grey. Split the resulting layers out, three at a time, to each of 9 colors and plotted with Staedtler fineliners.
I also tried cycling through the colors three times, one per layer, but liked the wider sections a little better.
