In my life, I have watched 213,321 math videos (I counted)
I have never, ever, seen anything as good as this. #GrantSanderson is my literal hero. (Tom Morello was, and now he’s second - the commonality of the guitar is just a coincidence).

Sometimes when I watch #3Blue1Brown videos, I feel... odd. He's usually presenting fairly elementary, undergrad-level stuff that I should know really well, and usually I do. I feel like I should be able to anticipate everything he's going to present.
But he also almost always presents a familiar idea with a slightly novel twist that makes me fell... bad, I guess... for not knowing that already. For not having already had that insight.
It's a weird combination of my hubris feeling like I should already know everything elementary combined with genuine curiosity for how a mostly elementary topic is going to be presented.
I think 3B1B's popularity also contributes to my insecurity. All of these other people talking about how impressive and amazed and enlightened they are by his videos, and also feeling enlightened by them makes me feel ordinary.
You know what, that's it. I want to feel smarter than everyone else but 3B1B reminds me that I'm not. And that's fine. There's always something new to learn, even in elementary matters. I shouldn't be so arrogant, I shouldn't feel above learning.

@DMarain #GrantSanderson (#3Blue1Brown) is brilliant at explaining complex things! Did you know he created the #Python #FOSS library "manim" that he uses to create these animations?

A beautiful interactive experience by #3blue1brown and Ben Eater, which does a wonderful job at visualizing #quaternions multiplication and how it can be used to model 3d rotations.
Here's another #3Blue1Brown vid I loved:
Why is a sphere's surface area four times its shadow?
Seriously, mathematicians, you're all fucking crazy. I couldn't even come up with this question let alone attempt an answer.
