What are you opinions on the d20 dice itself. Do you find that it creates too large of a spread? Do you dislike how most games use the 1 and the 20 for critical failures and successes? Do you swap it out for 3d6 or something else?

I have these mechanical elements:
* #3d6 down the line
* Effort-based #dice pools
* #d20 roll-under
* (Mostly) Player-facing rolls
* Roughly classless AND levelless
* Inventory slots
* Non-Vancian #magic
* Usage dice for breakable consumables (but not, e.g., comestibles)
I haven't seen a system that combines all of these effectively.
