I am currently about 25% of the way to having a custom-built, 14 megapixel, 3D camera rig. Turns out one of my old Canon point-and-shoots is a perfect candidate for this project. I can get another one for a pittance from eBay (although that'll have to wait until I have a bit more spare cash), and if I pick the brains of a few of the amazing people I met at #3DCon, I should be able to pull it off.
I doubt many of you have a pair of #anaglyph glasses lying around (the #3D glasses with one red and one cyan lens) but if you do, here's an anaglyph I just created from my #3DCon #photos
This is Harold Baize, Jr. He's a 3D photographer, who's been attending #BurningMan for the last 25 years, dressed as Silver Man. A truly fascinating, creative, and genuinely nice man.
I'm also including a 2D, non-anaglyph version with this post, so you can get a better idea of the image.

Was having a fantastic evening at what’s supposed to be my last night of #3DCon, until it was ruined by an email from #Amtrak saying my train tomorrow is cancelled and they don’t have any other transportation options.
So I’m now stuck 9 hours from home, with no money to book another night in a hotel, trying to figure out what I’m going to do.
It had all been going so well.
I wish I had a way for y’all to see the 3D photos I’m taking at #3DCon. But since I can’t, here’s a pic from tonight’s 3D Theater. Not a movie, but a presentation on a massive collection of #stereoscopic #collodion negatives.
