With the #Cricut Venture and the #GlowForge Aura released within the past week - and also the range of CoreXY #3DPrinters hitting the market at (more of) a consumer price point - it seems like there’s a lot of interesting stuff happening in #Maker tech this year. Fun times to be crafting things.

Big move inside the apartment today, laying the ground-work to move the main #Wepwawet shrine into the far end of the living area, where the #3Dprinters are now.

This is going to change the flow of everything, as I'm tired of the #3Dprinter mess being at that end and just cluttering up the space, and allow me to enjoy Jackals far more frequently than I do currently (I only go into the 'shrine room' for ritual stuff and I really want to see #jackals 100% of the time, I mean who doesn't, pfft).

So I will be able to have #candles and #incense and #offerings more often for Wepwawet as well since I can keep an eye on lit candles etc. and more casual "s'up *highfive*" style communication on my way to and from the kitchen 🤣

Truthfully, Wepwawet wanted a big everyday #shrine but never requested it to be as sequestered as it is now, and so He will be pleased, as He is very much an every-day Jackal God ❤

My ritual shrine will still stay in the other room where the 3D printers will go. They aren't too loud thankfully.

Update: 2.5 hours and a massive migraine, but I got it done. Don't ask for pictures behind the camera, it looks like a whole apartment exploded.

@feditips I understand your point that hashtags themselves are literal and that there is not some background algorithm making someone’s #DoctorWho posts match up with #DrWho or #3Dprinting the same as #3Dprinters. And, in my opinion, no sane system should. I was just skimming some of the overly negative replies here and felt compelled to point out that distinction that some seem to be misunderstanding.

Hey #LivePrinter runs on #Prusa #3Dprinters! The newest commit adds instructions for #linux systems and a small fix for serial ports and another fix for long printer bed levelling operations like on the Creality

I would like some advice from all you #3dprinters and #makers out there! A co-worker was kind enough to print a topographic render of the #CircuitOfTheAmericas #F1 track since I don't have a 3D printer of my own. My plan is to paint it - start line, DRS zones, maybe elevation change colors, etc.

Any advice on how to go about it? My idea on the process and associated questions are:

- sand it (what grit sandpaper should I use?)
- prime it (spray paint)
- paint the colors with enamel
- seal it? (Do I need to? What kind of sealant should I use?)

Is sanding the right way to prepare it or should I use some other method? Anything else I should know about painting a 3D printed model?
