#hobbystreak day 11: shifted gears a bit to #3dprinting and tried to dial in my exposure settings with a 0.03mm layer height. mostly got it good, but probably need to dial it in a bit more. I think I need to clean off my FEP plate too, or maybe just get a new one. it may be a victim of my learning curve. but OPR has a sale right now and eternal dynasties are the main thing I don't have anything comparable to yet.

Picture of the WIP, but ready to test prototype #dipole #antenna. Despite what the camera perspective suggests, it's approximately 38" overall length without being extended.

The end goal is that it will work for 20m - 6m, mounted on a fiberglass mast.

Attempting to calibrate my printer using SuperSlicer’s calibration models and the retraction calibration tower is just stringy all the way up. Is there some other factor I should be playing with here? (Each step is +.5 retraction length. At the top it’s 7!)

#3dprinting makers of the fediverse who use #octopi or a tablet to control their printers, should I keep trying to get octopi to work or should I just load an app on an old tablet?

If the latter, what apps would work on older units? I have old ipads and android tables to upcycle.

Having a lot of trouble getting SSH working on an rpi with octopi and getting #docker to work with a usb in my main pc is causing headaches.

Basically I had the brain-wave that oh my gosh, screws can be a *lot* of shapes and I should be able to do screw shapes that are also decorative, so that the rods are visually continuous (first photo)

As opposed to the legs of the table I designed and 3D printed (second photo)

Got a #Creality Sprite direct drive extruder for my #Ender 3 v2. Fantastic if costly upgrade, compared to the base price of the printer. But! There's a little cable you have to plug in and it IS NOT in the instructions. There's an enigmatic little sticker on the cable that points you in the right direction so maybe you can avoid my hours of hapless troubleshooting. #3Dprinting
