I clicked over to Musk's tweet with the video of this event, and scrubbed through to just a couple of minutes before it happens. The first thing I heard was Musk explaining that Tesla hasn't actually programmed any understanding of what a traffic light is into the cars. They've just shown lots of video to a neural net and assumed that it'll work it out. 🙃
