Personal best on the #concept2 after a week away from it. I love #travel but I love coming #home more. Apparently, #converse are the ultimate shoe for this task so I broke out the purple ones and liked the feel a lot.
I’m proud for sticking with this personal challenge all the way thru. Even with travel, I’ve been consistent and feel really good thru a time of year when I find it hard to stay physically active. January will be for keeping momentum instead of starting over.

We are expecting a big snowstorm this week so we’ve changed some holiday travel plans. I will need to be creative with my workouts for a few days but I think I’ve got a plan :)

Day 25/42
#bike tonight for my moving. Before I had kids, I was an easy 50-80 miles/week during the summer season. I love that I was able to get back to it a bit more this past summer and now that all the mutts can get around easily on 2 wheels, I’m hoping for even more of that this summer. Gotta love the #butt thy comes with pedaling :) I’ll be ready for the trails once the snow melts.

Day 23&24/42
I’ve been painting my house this week and was starting to feel it yesterday so I opted for a yoga practice and saved my #rowing for today. I get ready and refreshed pulling today, which was really nice.
Fastest yet. 152/290 rowers in my age bracket on the #concept2 logbook today. Average is not always a bad thing :)

I took a short break from my row/bike/bell rhythm today and went on a good walk with my littlest partner in crime. She’s short but she can keep up if she runs ;)

#halfway there on my little challenge!
Definitely feeling fatigued tonight and it was a serious mental battle to not take the day but I’m glad I sucked it up. I’m determined to only take one day out of seven off of the planned work and I took my one on Friday this week. #42tonew

Yesterday was on the bike trainer and today a row on the #concept2
I’ve gone a little further each day in the 30 min timeframe, improving 150m in the last week. As I’m new to #rowing on a machine, I did some checking to see what’s average for my age/size/experience on the concept2 site. They have a logbook where you can put in your numbers and track workouts. This pace is right about the 40th percentile from the 200 people who logged workouts so far today. Cool stuff to see. #42tonew
Day 10-12/42
I’ve been lazy about posting but not about working! Day 10 was a #kettlebell workout that was supposed to be for upper body but ironically, I’m having trouble walking so idk what that’s about…
Day 11 was back on the tower for another 5600m. Thankfully, I think the workouts are targeting much different muscles so I’m able to continue daily without risk of actual death.
Today, I’m #hiking with my people at @backbonestatepark for the afternoon and Day 12.

Day 9/42
On the #rower again this evening. 5600km is a good little run to get the sweat on.
It doesn’t compare to being outside on the board but I don’t want to lose the foundation of strength I built over the summer and fall.
Looking forward to picking up in the spring stronger than I left off.
I’m not used to seeing #muscle when I comb out my hair and I’m kinda into it ;)

Day 7/42
Wrapping up week 1 of my little end of year push with a family hike thru one of our local nature centers.
In august of 2020, a massive windstorm called a #derecho tore thru our city with straight line winds up to 145mph for an hour. 65% of our tree canopy was destroyed. This picture shows how the grove was topped by the wind all at the same level, destroying the trees.
Nature recovers. It’s inspiring. But the damage will show for the rest of my lifetime. #42tonew #hike #fall #family

Day 6/42
Walked the pups for my movement today. Taking advantage of these days outside while I can.
Was also pumped to have all three of my kiddos join me for #yoga tonight before they tucked in. The 4 year old lasted 15 minutes so that’s pretty sweet ;)
