This piece has been making the rounds. The DoD's tool (BMMT) went live a month, almost to the day, before #47CFR97 was updated to delete the Morse telegraphy requirement from the Technician license. Did the #ARRL investigate a civilian version of the tool? If they did, it was a secret project. Instead, most of the higher ups (there and elsewhere) whined about Morse going away & denigrating, at every turn, licensees who hadn't passed a Morse test.

@loriemerson Analog SSTV and radiofax are different modes, though similar (image built line by line). Under US amateur regs, "Image" comms on HF go where Phone goes. Analog SSTV is def "image", but I gotta dig around for fax. They are different, though. Let me dig.
