I really loved this album when it came out, and I thought that it might actually be a breakthrough for them. It’s that good.
So I was surprised when it kind of came and went, with little fanfare.
They made some pretty cool records during their run (their last release was in 2016), but After The End is the only one I’m SUPER passionate about. A really great album.

Picture proof that good monkeys DO go to heaven. I like how this custom 4AD label fits with the art of the entire album but I’ve always found that artwork a bit disturbing. Almost a Victorian-and-everything-that’s-creepy-about-the-Victorian-age feel about. 4AD Records is an imprint of Beggars Banquet and like it’s mama label, 4AD continues its tradition of artists like Bauhaus and Throwing Muses by signing artists like St Vincent and Bon Iver. #goodmonkeys #vinylrecords #pixies #4adrecords
