The debacle of law enforcement being called in to force a little girl to allow her goat to be slaughtered reveals the ideology behind 4-H: one of forcing children to accept the view that animals have one purpose, which is to be a fungible commodity.

Calling the cops is a waste of tax dollars. The warrant reads like they were looking for Al Capone, not a fucking goat.

What the actual fuck is wrong with people. Little girl changes her mind and doesn't want her 4H goat slaughtered for meat, and the county sends the cops after them, 500 miles away, and with a search warrant allowing them to break down doors.
Girl in question lost three grandparents that year, and couldn't stand losing the goat too. This was just cruelty for cruelty's sake.

Hey computer people. I'm thinking about offering a programming project for the local 4H kids using Tic-80. My personal preference would be to do it in Ruby but I suspect that using Lua would be more straight forward and potentially more useful since so many games use Lua for scripting.
