First fillup in the #4xe, and effective gas mileage was 37mpg. Good replacement for the big SUV that was getting about 14.5. Battery is enough for work days, but skiing and volleyball tourneys end up running mostly gas.
Quick first week review of the new #wrangler #4xe PHEV. We went with a PHEV instead of full electric because eventually this car will go with our daughter to college, and we don't know what charging infra will be wherever she goes.
1) My commute is 100% on electric, awesome!
2) It's a bit slow on electric, but acceptable.
3) CarPlay is awesome.
4) Jeeps are fun to drive.
5) W/o electric, mileage isn't great. Big tires and square cars aren't efficient.
6) Immediate heat rules!
7) #jeepwave :)
#JoshueTree never disappoints.

My new #Wrangler #4xe has been on order since December 2021. I've been waiting for over 13 months. (They've also increased the price on me and I've lost at least some of the rebate.)
Last I talked to the dealer, they said I might get it in 2024. Not even joking.
If there was something else I wanted to buy, I'd have done it by now.
Buying vehicles feels like doing expensive business in the past.
Took the new #Jeep #Wrangler #4xe out for an "inaugural" day trip to the Salt River. Suspension wise it was pretty comfortable, although for a vehicle bordering on luxury in terms of price, it's also pretty utilitarian in many ways. Wouldn't want to travel more than a couple hundred miles in the backseat, for example. All up though, I can see why people like them - no nonsense, solid and the Sahara is loaded with features in the dash. Had a good day; great weather and fresh air.
Getting my Jeep Rubicon #4xe serviced, and watching two #Chargepoint stations being unloaded and installed at the dealership. 💕
I love my hybrid 4xe...my commutes are almost all electric. Longer drives let me use the ICE.
If you want to know if a #Jeep is hybrid or not, look for that charging port just below the driver side mirror.
Hmm… Added the photo first, then the alt text… but I couldn’t go back and write the main post text.
Anyhow, this picture I’m replying to is my new 2022 #Jeep #Wrangler #Rubicon #4xe purchased back on 5/31 to replace my 10yo 2012 #Chevy #Volt whose main HV battery failed-safe back in January. Would have cost ~$15K(🇨🇦) to replace, so wasn’t worth the effort - it was a Gen1 already succeeded by the Gen2 which itself was EOL with the 2019 year model.
