#Introduction. Hi, TMAN is on this instance to write TOOTS OF FICTION. Within the limits of #500Characters, the toot is a form of word art. I used to think of the bird-droppings from the birdsite (that shall not be named) as Haiku for the 21st Century. Now that I am unshackled from centralized capitalized social media, I am here to use the TOOT as my new canvas for #STORYTOOTS. I toot stories and add replies to the thread, like chapters to a book.

Can anyone point me to to the servers here on Mastodon that allow or have the capability of writing more than 500 characters?

I love the sense of balance shown in the #CharacterLimit of #500characters. Long enough to express a nuanced idea, short enough to impose writing discipline.

With 280 chars, ideas often are reduced to proclamations, or they spread into threads.

With 500 chars, for me threads become largely unnecessary. Instead, maximise content within a single 500-character post. If need be, publish a cluster of related posts, but without chaining them.
