⤴️ Tony and I were at-the-bar friends and played as a team in the pool room at #500Club in the Mission.

We made some pictures together in a couple sessions in '94/'95. He moved to the Haight, stopped coming to The 5 and we lost touch.

In 1996-7, I went to my first MH appt at the Haight-Ashbury Free Clinic and guess who my Counselor was! Tony had finished school and it was his first job.

We had a head start on my therapy cos Tony knew me a little. 😂

Filmmakers. photographers, writers, most of them. They got fat jobs as #tech creatives. The #Internet. #500Club was their dive bar of choice. It was my local, a half-block from the flat @ 16th Guerrero. Joel loved to thrift and a 70s leisure suit with white patent leather loafers were a favorite look. He brought this "monkey" polyester shirt I'd told him I loved to our shoot in Jon's loft.

🎧 When I was "a young" 37 (Fall, 1994), I danced to this song in a Mission dive bar where folks didn't usually dance. I loved #BlackEyedPeas and was listening to this CD every day. #500Club's jukebox played it first time when I was playing pool and I lost it. My dance number ensued atop a card table in the far corner of the pool room, covered in beer empties. The hour was late, late-late. Howard had to talk me down. Like a would-be bridge jumper! 😏
