@figandpen @latelesley Definitely orchestrated. The 'Gender Critical' cult has its roots in second wave radfems, but their numbers were tiny. The big surge in support comes largely from right-wing cis-het men.

One big clue to where this is coming from is that the leading transphobic organisation is based at #55TuftonSt, which is the centre of a cluster of hard-right causes funded by dark money.

Those causes are hugely influential on the Tories and MSM, which is why it is part of their agenda.

@fatrat I know she was partly responsible for That Book, declaring a specific economic orthodoxy, but I'm convinced she's been hypnotised by someone at 55 Tufton Street.

There's no way someone can be this deluded. Is there?

LGB Alliance have an office at 55 Tufton Street, the home of so many right wing lobby groups from climate change deniers to tax slashing NHS privatisers.

They claim it's for convenience but as they have other offices in London it makes you wonder exactly what convenience they get being in the same building as some Britain's most infamous right wing orgs.
