The Alice Network by Kate Quinn
Brilliant narrator, Saskia
Maarlaveld. I literally couldn’t put this down. This book is reminiscent of Kristan Hannah’s, The Nightingale.

The story is told in two time frames, with one of the women being a major character in both time periods.
Set during WW1 and just after WW11, it tells of the incredible bravery of the women who worked in espionage to defeat the Germans.
Warning : there is a scenes of severe violence.

The prints in this #BambuLabs #X1C are everything I’ve hoped for. #5stars for print quality.

The networking continues to be a problem. I have to throw the printer on my phone’s hotspot to upload a print via the network. One the print is going I can switch back to my home wifi and the print continues but all I can do it monitor it from Bambu Studio on my computer. No remote monitoring and no off printer control. I even reset my modem to factory with no joy. #1star for connectivity.

Much has been made of Viola Davis performance in The Woman King with good reason. Only one word can describe it: Fierce. 
Part Gladiator, part Last of the Mohicans this is one of the most energetic and impactful movies I’ve watched in the last decade. 
It’s a fearsome actioner with women at its centre.
Special mention to newcomer Thuso Mbedu as Nawi. She makes the movie what it is: Grounded and full of heart.
