Reading buddies are an excellent way to address the learning needs of both younger and older children. Through cross-age tutoring and partnerships, students improve their reading and fluency skills and gain broader literacy and can increase social interaction. Pictured, is Ms. Lorenzo's 5th grade class with Ms. Ortiz's kindergarten class. Each class paired up and both took turns reading to each other.
