Got in the car, charged out to the bayside park, and pokey-poled up the steep path to the top of the 100m hill.

When I crested the ridge, the wind crashed into me, almost knocked off my glasses, and then ran off roaring, toward the Central Valley.

But I had my #HF radio with me. And parafoil #kite and reel. So I ran it up the kite, found some smooth air, hooked up the antenna.

The band is open wide within the western EU, I'm getting heard very well from Spain, Hungary and Finland with QSOs, and from Canary Island (-16dB with 25W) but no QSO. I got to back to work now...
