I don't care if the people in the lobby shake their heads and laugh at me. I got a solo elevator ride to the 45th floor again today.
Laugh all you want - get infected as many times as you want - I'm going to be here in a proper respirator and a face shield to protect me from unmasked carriers like you in the lobby, def not sharing a ride w you!

Apparently local flooding this morning around four a.m. caused the firm's bread delivery to be canceled. Eggs on toast, or leftover bagels only.

Just came out of an hour-and-a-half meeting about our new incident portal (help desk ticketing system), & I kept yawning. Finally I turned off my camera & snuck out to get a cup of caffeine (I'm usually a decaf kind of guy); it worked.

Happy Monday: Thought for a sec when I found my office door locked this morning that I'd been fired. But to my relief, the nice man from Operations agreed to open my door, he didn't send me to HR. He explained to my relief that the weekend cleaning staff sometimes take it on themselves to lock all the office doors behind them...

Wow - opens Sep 15! The PAC|NYC is across from my work. I watched it being built from scratch (when I started at this firm in 7 World Trade almost 10 yrs ago, the WTC was still under construction). WTC is diagonally across from us (7WTC). The Performing Arts Center completes the triangle, across from both of us (/ ). The walls separating the (up to) three theatres also flies. All floors, seating, hydraulic(!)

50th Street, southbound C train platform was PACKED this a.m., E train delays. But I lucked out completely & a C arrived in three minutes, got me to Chambers right quick & I got to the top of seven world trade in time for decaf & water before my morning meeting w/ my boss.
