Gave the #atari #800xl the best gift gramps could ever ask for. A brand new NOS motherboard swap. Now everything is happy and stock and the composite video works again. Also, it reads carts my old board wouldn’t, and I got a replacement plastic lens that has been missing for years! #Atari8bit #retrocomputing

@m0bi13 On my side, #Atari #65XE, another #Atari8bit 👍 But, as friends & relatives of the Rabbit know, just a revamped version of #800XL. I think I was missing the cartridge port (direct bus from the motherboard). Or my memory’s mistaking me

In any case, what exciting times for a teenager. #Python, albeit it may sound funny, is a way for me to return to my younger times - and earn some money in the process too, haha!😉

I love it! I had the same system, #800XL with the disk drive. I found out somehow about using a hole punch to be able to use both sides of the diskettes, too.

I had #QBert and #Choplifter cartridges. Loved to play them.
