So, anyone mind of this? Murphy's Mob, ran in the early 80's, I think, all about the struggles and troubles at some lower league football team (was it filmed at Watford FC?). The theme tune was great (sung by yer man fae Auf Wiedersehn Pet) and featured my teenage crush (one of many), Lynda Bellingham.

Today’s DVD arrivals from WHSmith. The 4-story BBC Chronicles of Narnia boxset, The Children of Green Knowe, and Moondial. All made by the BBC. I only initially intended to order the Green Knowe one!

Sad to hear the death of confirmed, but relieved thatThe his family have closure now. For (1984) fans he is remembered in a very small part as a Greek soldier. He was so charmed by the book he asked if he could appear in the TV version, even in a tiny non speaking part. RIP.

Re my top 3 episodes may have to expand to a top 5 with this year's rewatch. But definitely candidates are Signs and Portents, The Coming of Shadows, and Z'ha'dum. Off the top of my head those are the first 3 I think of as favourites. Not in a particular order though.

Incidentally if any fans of original 1989 TV Woman in Black version that terrified a generation want to get a Blu ray copy buy it now while you still can. It was issued by Network who have just gone into liquidation. Copies are still available via Amazon and elsewhere but once they sell out that's it all gone. This was a stellar horror TV version, and the Blu Ray is fab. It's also available on DVD which will also go out of stock once sold.

Continuing my husband’s Snowman initiation tonight with The Snowman and the Snowdog followed by the new Channel 4 documentary about The Snowman phenomenon. I was an emotional wreck within the opening seconds of the Snowdog film! Loving the Howard Blake bits in the documentary.

Introducing my husband to the David Bowie introduced version of The Snowman, thanks to Channel 4 showing it tonight. He didn’t grow up with a TV at home, so didn’t know this animation as a child like me. We’ve also recorded the Snowman documentary and will be watching the Snowdog animation another time. P.S.
