Where ACID was born as a child of Electro and House - both parents also quite new underground dance floor styles in 1987.
Many consider this also as the first ACID track ever - which is NOT true. This honor would (probably?) go to Derrick Harris and his track "I’ve Lost Control" which he finished in 1984 (!!).

The opener of their "Zeichnungen des Patienten O.T." Album, where every single track will feast on your soul. 4me this Album is the very peak moment of this band. Literally nothing comes close. Well, maybe Depeche Mode(?!). Because they sampled from the EN master tapes for "Some Great Reward".

7y later Steve Albini, singer+guitarist of Big Black will produce Nirvanas "In Utero", stripping all the effects and pop music polish, Butch Vic did before when producing "Nevermind".
Leaving pure raw energy and intenseness. This is, what already happens on Kerosine. Brought 2 Europe by the Blast First label, which introduced the #PervertedPop genre.

This is Alexander Hacke, 16 years old back then, part of the "Geniale Dilletanten" movement, later integral member of the Einstürzende Neubauten and also part of various other music projects.

With a beat no one dropped at the time - no DAF, no Krupps, no Garry Newman or Visage. A grove still unmatched as of Today.

*) at the time the song was created Die Art where calling themselves Die Zucht. However it's hard to find Die Zucht recordings in a reasonable quality. The recording here is from around 1986
The 2020 rerecording by Die Zucht unfortunately is missing the charm of the original.
