#NowPlaying Stay Hungry by Twisted Sister. The weird thing about this album is that the two songs I like the LEAST are the "big hits" I Wanna Rock and We're Not Gonna Take It. Try listening to The Beast, S.M.F., Burn In Hell or Horror-Teria. These are all excellent cuts that paired with less cartoonish and poppy songs would make a nice heavy album.

#NowPlaying is that synth laden hit album 1984 by Van Halen. Oddly, some of my favourite songs from VH are on this record (Drop Dead Legs, Hot For Teacher, I'll Wait, Panama) even though I'm not a big synth guy. From what I understand, EVH really pushed for it in order to expand VH's boundaries and audience against the rest of the band's wishes (especially DLR). It worked! 1984 was a smash hit.

#NowPlaying something a bit lighter. Eat 'Em And Smile by David Lee Roth. This was his first full album after leaving Van Halen. I remember going to this concert on Halloween night in 1986 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. Steve Vai was fantastic and Diamond Dave, as usual, put on a fantastic show. Great time!
