Y’all, I did it. I got #BeOS 5.0.3 running in #86Box on my PC. I remember reading about it in the late 90s, but never got a chance to play around with it until now.
Is it everything I hoped it would be? Well, I still love the aesthetic, those isometric icons in particular. But I have a confession to make: I have no idea what to do with all this. Where should I start? What shouldn’t I miss?
(And yes, I fully intend on trying Haiku eventually.)
One day i created a BBA machine in #86box just to play around with business software.
I installed DOS 6.22 (dutch) and ms works for dos onto it.
Its a great VM for distraction free writing.
#86box has been recently updated.
86box is an x86 emulator focused on running older operating systems and software.
