@mastodonusercount At this rate of 600 people an hour, approximately 78000 people will add themselves to Mastodon before New Years Eve, falling short of the 9 million account milestone in 2022.

What I am saying is Elon Musk needs to do something else stupid on Twitter soon to pump up those arbitrary numbers. Vanity view counts hasn't boosted numbers here at all.
