Personally I think the rules around alcohol are far too lax, we should do what Finland do, only sell hard alcohol in government stores, you have to use ID, you can't but more than a certain amount & an extra thing we could do is log users to notify drug services that someone might be addicted & needs help so they can reach out. I also think the same rules should apply for many illegal drugs, it would save lives!

You shouldn't judge someone for using drugs:

1) most if not all addicts have serious mental health issues or trauma, using is their coping mechanism.

2) plenty of people are on prescription drugs, SSRIs, SNRIs, opioid painkillers, pregabelin & benzodiazepines for anxiety & plenty more. The only difference between this & illegal drugs is the law.

3) alcohol is socially acceptable but extremely harmful.

Drugs are bad, alcohol is far worse! Why not legalise & regulate drugs so they are safer, teach people how to use safely & what to do if someone overdoses, this would undoubtedly save countless lives!

Also, money from the legal sale of drugs can be used to fund treatment for addicts!
