Now I have a scientific explanation for my 4 pm slump: my executive functioning tank is DRAINED from self-inhibition, problem-solving, & self-motivation. And my #adhd brain just cannot keep going anymore. It also explains why happy hour social is impossible for me.

I for once tried to plug my to-do list for this month into a calendar/schedule and realized I am assigning myself an absurd amount of work and expect myself to accomplish it within 2 weeks. If I were facing a manager like myself, I would actually quit. #adhd #adhdtwitter 1/3

"To discover our strengths as part of the #ADHD treatment plan, we need to connect, play, practice, mastery, recognition, and connect. "
-- Dr. Edward Hallowell

So I just discovered today that Straterra (and the generic version) has a manufacture back order issue and the pharmacies do not know when Straterra will be available again. Anyone else in the U.S. running into the same issue?

Not sure who needs to hear this, but the restlessness of #adhd is not limited to rocking on the chair or restlessness of the body.
It can be restlessness in your head, an internal state, the need to be busy and do multiple things.

What does it look like to have #ADHD and overcompensate on executive functions: I marked on my google calendar now that I need to book vet appointments for my puppy around mid-March. Yet I still worry that I will forget to book those vet appointments.

Another year, another rotation among physical planner, digital planner, notion, and google calendar for my #ADHD brain.
I used to want to find or build the perfect planner system, but now I proudly own my chaotic system!
What are you proudly embracing this year?

If you feel overwhelmed, grab some pen and paper, and just pour all your thoughts out. Do not self-filter. Let all the emotions, thoughts, judgments, fears, tasks, and dreams flow on paper. Trust me you will be a lot more centered and settled afterward #adhd #adhdtwitter
