Got some of the clutter off the deck (itβs where we store overflow things from Costco like soda flats)
Got at least 1 layer of dust hosed off the car, got the garden watered too
Gonna have to find a not too interesting movie to put on to help me focus while I clean my computer area. #ADHDHack
I figured out a small self #adhdHack that is basically just the reverse pomodoro method. Instead of having work > play I make play > work since my dopamine receptors burn out quick

Which ever way you do the grains, already in or adding just before microwave, you have a bunch of meals that take maybe 5-9minutes to microwave, automatically steaming the greens (slightly lifted lid of course).
If you use a firmly clipping shut lid microwave container, you can take them to work etc too.
Or maybe just stack them in your fridge for home use.

Tons grains to eat more varied which is good for you & good for bio-diversity.
This book is really helpful on cooking grains. It does include the word 'vegan' but I promise we won't tell if other people use it too! π
Or just find water/ grain/ cook time info for rice cooker/ instant pot on web.

If you have grains in a pot separately you can add them before microwave time.
This means you can have different grains with diff meals maybe which varies it up.
Here's some black rice, has a nicely mild nuttier taste than regular rice.

So days off or weekends can be a good time for banking in advance extra midweek time, healthy choices & exec function.
Just by doing a bit of batch prep. Can be really simple like here. Large pan/wok for a decent amount of simple thick soup.

Cheap pack magnetic timers, stick out of way so you can minimise the clutter enemy.
Push to wake up, turn dial to adjust time if needed, push to start timer.
Can do 1 timer round for the kettle so you boil it once only yet come back while it's hotπ
1 round to take the tea out again so does not get bitter.
Save phone for other things.
Nice n tactile aids mem/use.
Save exec function for other stuff.

Me: I left it in there because I knew I would go looking for it when I needed it.
I was in the middle of my cleanup routine, I left the phone in there to remind me that I hadn't finished it.

Agreed, I especially love the aspect of the easiest quickest thing in the fridge being the healthiest.
Well, I like posting about music, I listen all day and post 0 to 4 tracks a day. Because I use music so heavily to regulate mood & focus. That's I guess my tip maybe for others playlists by task could work for you, or doing like auto-radio plays spawned off certain types of songs etc.
In Mastodon ppl actually listen or reply and recommend stuff too!, so it's much nicer than other places.
