I contribute expertise all the time, unpaid or, worse, paying multiple entities (hotels, restaurants, associations) for the privilege. All while I barely have enough work to bother with at times.

If I'm honest about evaluating my practice, what evidence do I have that it's worth it?

Zero. Le sigh.
