is the runner, I'm commentating, and there's some AMAZING skips and glitches, and also some fun tales from inside the game industry.

The cycle is the same:

1) Watch a bunch of #AGDQ2023
2) Think about running one of my favourite #snes games
3) Realize I would probably rather rack the ROM than just speedrun it
4) Start thinking about #gamedev
5) Start down the road of a new side project that involves learning something related to #videogames

Maybe I can channel this energy this time into something interesting, rather than beating myself up over starting and shelving another side project.

So I think watching #agdq2023 all week is bleeding into my #godot learning project....

...and I kinda dig it.

The hilarious thing about the kaizo Mario run on #AGDQ right now is like, the runner will be doing just WILD things on the screen and the commentator is like “yeah a lot of these levels are inspired by Shakespeare, the creator is a big Shakespeare fan.”

Random Idea. Stores need to add split timers to self-checkout lanes, so I can speed run checking out and keep track of my PBs. Maybe a leaderboard of other shoppers.

Each time an attendant needs to come over, we can call that bad RNG.
